WHAT PASTORS, THEOLOGIANS, AND LAY LEADERS ARE SAYING ABOUT US

“Counsel in the heart of man is like deep water; But a man of understanding will draw it out” (Proverbs 20:5). One of the great privileges of visiting the Holy Land is to receive revelation knowledge as the Bible literally comes to life in its geographical location. Guides also color our perspectives, so it’s important to have excellent, Bible-based teachers along the way. Our group greatly benefited from the vast knowledge of Rabbi Chaim Eisen, and we’re still talking about his Holy City Tour many weeks later! Rabbi Eisen’s energy, insights, scholarship, and transparency delighted us all. I particularly appreciated the fact that Rabbi Eisen made allowances for our group to break forth in spontaneous prayers or praise from time to time based upon insights we were receiving on the faithfulness of the Almighty to keep covenant with His people.

Walking through rebuilt Jerusalem, you see prophecy being fulfilled before your eyes. The Holy City Tour with Rabbi Chaim Eisen is an unforgettable experience of Jerusalem, firmly scripturally based, from the days of David to our own time. The Holy City Tour challenges you to study the Bible and the traditions concerning Jerusalem, and to experience them as real life.

His profound knowledge of the Hebrew Bible enables Rabbi Eisen to explain Scripture in such a way that it enriches and renews your faith. Jews and Christians can only profit. We stand on the same firm base of the Bible as the word of God.

It is my pleasure to endorse Rabbi Chaim Eisen and the Holy City Tour. Rabbi Eisen is a true gentleman who loves to engage his audiences in conversational learning. He is a tremendous Bible scholar who capably imparts wisdom to his students, helping them grasp beautiful truths from God’s word. As a pastor who visits Israel frequently, I have enjoyed the Holy City Tour myself, learning new insights into God’s gracious covenant with His people and His land.

I encourage Christian pilgrims and Christian tour groups who visit Jerusalem to take advantage of this tremendous learning opportunity to see the Bible stories presented in living color. I also encourage church leaders to bless their congregations by inviting Rabbi Eisen to teach Torah lessons in person when his schedule allows him to visit America. Whether in Israel or in the United States, Christian audiences will be blessed by learning from one of my teachers, Rabbi Chaim Eisen.

On a cold and rainy day in January, Rabbi Chaim Eisen took us, a group of Protestant ministers from the Netherlands, on a tour through the Old City of Jerusalem. With his voice as a shofar and his immense Biblical knowledge, Rabbi Eisen succeeded in carrying us away to Biblical times. Despite the cold, our hearts were warmed by his prophetic message of truth and expectation. Rabbi Eisen succeeds in letting the stones of Jerusalem bear witness to the Biblical message.

Rabbi Chaim Eisen has a way of bringing the Hebrew Bible together into an integrated framework that reveals the majesty of God. There is not a topic I can think of that he is not willing to tackle in his teachings. Each session — and I recommend two or three sessions per day be organized — needs to last two hours each to allow Rabbi Eisen’s Biblical framework to come alive, and for serious Christian Bible students to begin saying “oooh” and “aaah,” connecting the dots in their minds of concepts that they previously considered to be unrelated, and watch how Rabbi Eisen weaves them together.

Every year our ministry sponsors tours to Israel. This year we expanded our normal itinerary to include a Western Wall Shabbat tour given by our friend, Chaim Eisen. We were so enriched by the interesting history and culture that Chaim shared with us as he spoke with great passion about the city he loves, and the Holy One Whom he truly adores.

The Holy City Tour was very informative and unique. It was beautiful to be there as the sun was low and the hustle and bustle of commerce was fading. The electricity that we felt in the air as observant Jews flocked to the Kotel was apparent and contagious! We too seemed to be carried with the desire and calling to assemble to “meet the Lord” and enter into His rest together with all Israel. The prayers of joy, dances, and songs of adoration and ancient tradition were a “new thing” for us to witness. I wish more Christians could see this beauty.

Our night closed with a lovely Shabbat dinner with Chaim and his wife Raye at our hotel. It was quite satisfying and uniquely gratifying to break bread with him. His table fellowship with us meant a lot! We enjoyed watching the Orthodox traditions unfold, and our conversation was interesting. It was such a memorable evening! We were truly amazed to be a part of prophecy that night: Jew and Gentile sitting side by side, no longer strangers. We encourage other Christians to experience the sights and sounds of Jerusalem at Shabbat and join Chaim as he shares his heart and home.

Rabbi Chaim Eisen was very articulate and easy to understand. He had a sense of humor and a warmth about him that included friends and new acquaintances, making all feel welcome. He was informative with both his presentation and answering our questions.

He was very knowledgeable about what he was teaching, and he would often tease us with something to think about, prior to diving into the topic. He kept it fast and moving, made you think about the topic versus just teaching.

Everyone on the tour felt they had a new friend in Jerusalem. He was the best teacher I have ever been with in the Holy Land. I learned more about the Bible and Jerusalem than I have in the last 10 trips. I don’t think it could have been better!
